BIRLY is a privately owned property development and investment company focused on period properties, based in London. We add value through design, careful refurbishment, consents, and navigating legal complexity. Work that rewards patience and attention to detail.
Many of the buildings we work on are late Georgian, Regency or Victorian, including terraced houses, mansion blocks and stucco fronted conversions in well loved London neighbourhoods. Others are newer, or entirely reimagined.
Each project comes with its own constraints: uneven structures, original features to retain, lease lines to resolve, awkward layouts, and planning conditions to navigate. Our role is to see past these. Good properties are often misread. We make them work.
Recent projects have focused on properties that were underused or compromised, then reworked through full internal refurbishment and, where appropriate, securing consents.
Each project began with a clear idea of what it could become, alongside its own set of challenges. Our role was to work through those carefully and carry the scheme through to a finished home.
